To open this dialog select Options|General Settings... from the main menu.
| · | Play this sound when an alert pops up check box - plays the specified sound when an alert is due. Click on the "Choose File" button to select a different "WAV" file. Click on the "Test" button to test it.

| · | Use speech output for reminders - when checked, Talking Reminder will speak out the reminder title, description as well as the time when it is due. This option is only available if Microsoft Speech Engine is installed on your system. The Microsoft speech engine for use with Talking Reminder can be downloaded using this URL http://www.softwareriver.com/html/speech.html.

| · | Time notifications section - check the check boxes for sound/speech to play the specified sound or say the time every hour or at noon only. The prefix edit box is the text that will be used in speech output along with the current time. Click on the test buttons to test your options before committing the changes.
